This project required an attention to detail and an expertise with materials in order to incorporate the new solar arrays into an existing parking garagey.

UCSD Hopkins Photovoltaic Solar Arrays

The solar array on the Hopkins parking garage is one of the centerpieces of the UC San Diego campus’ solar initiative. UC San Diego has been recognized by the Climate Action Registry has a “Climate Action Leader.”

This parking array will long be recognized as the leader in parking lot solar design and installation, providing both functionality and aesthetics. The project was completed in partnership with the design services of Envision Solar International.

GOALS
Install a photovoltaic system on an existing parking structure to supplement a larger overall campus wide renewable energy project.
